Youth Development

Cove Cricket Club are an ECB Focus Club and have over 20 qualified ECB coaches focused on developing our young players to achieve their own personal goals.   Our objective is to bring the enjoyment of playing cricket and being part of a family orientated club to all the young boys and girls in the local community.

Our Senior 1st XI play in the Home Counties ECB Premier Feeder League West and our ambition is to continue to develop with a combination of home ground youngesters and new players coming into the club. We have a well defined development pathway that shows how we take youngsters aged 5 through to senior or maybe representative cricket for their county.

Academy

Academy squad is focused on developing our talented players into potential Cove 1st XI players of the future.   The Academy squad has both a winter and summer training program supported by individual player development plans.   In addition we focus hard on game knowledge through workshops and player fitness.  Academy is a progression point for all players to look to achieve prior to entering into the senior setup

The girls have a progression path into Ladies Senior Cricket, currently we have one senior team but in 2013 we will have two sides playing Ladies Senior Cricket in the Hampshire League.   They have a full development program during the winter to evolve their cricketing abilities.

Cove is about being part of a club, not only on the field but also off the field as we run numerous functions throughout the year.

Our winter training schedule can be found here.
