Under 13 girls won as well,  details of the match to follow.

Sunday 27th June

No games due to football although we would have been better off playing instead of watching that rubbish.

Ladies however did arrange an inter club game with 20 ladies attending the match,  highlight was Jane Redhead scoring her first four ever and dancing in the middle of the square.  The good news for Cove is that we had that many Ladies in attendance and with the growth of girls cricket at Cove and our strength which will attract new players,  the chances are in two years time we might have a 1st and 2nd Ladies XI's on a Sunday.

Saturday 26th June

The 1st XI had a fantastic win away to Amersham on Saturday with the full 25 points.   Batting first scored 217 from 50 overs and great declaration that tempted the opposition to have a go but they were bowled out for 148 with Vineet 6 for 28 runs.

The Academy played top of the table Falklands,   batting first Faklands set Cove 261 to win having batted for 50 overs.   The young Cove team were never in truth going to reach this total so sensibly with captain Nick Swannell (50 ) taking the lead went about getting as many batting points as possible.  We ended up 175 for 4 from 50 overs only losing 5 points to our top of the table rivals.

The 5th XI had no game.
